Payroll can be generated using different methods, such as timesheets, attendance data, or fixed contract values. The default payroll generation method controls which approach is applied automatically when payroll is created and can be updated to reflect changes in payroll processes, while still allowing individual staff contracts to override it where required.
To change the default payroll generation method, follow these steps:
📌 Note: If a staff member has an overriding generation method set in their contract, that method will take precedence.
Click Setup.
Click Finance.
Click Global payroll settings.
In the Generate from: section, choose the new generation method.
Click Save changes.
