Timesheet history allows you to track changes made to timesheets, helping with auditing, troubleshooting, and resolving queries about time entries. You may need to review timesheet history to understand who updated or deleted a timesheet, confirm when changes were made, or investigate discrepancies for a specific week or user. For example, this can be useful when a client queries billed hours or when a manager needs to verify amendments made after approval.
⚠️ Important: To follow the steps you must have the permissions on your user account to access the History button.
Check the history of timesheets for a given week
Follow these steps to view all timesheet changes for a specific week:
Click Client.
Click on the required client.
Click Timesheet.
Choose the required week using the back and forward arrows or the calendar.
Click the History button.
Once this has been done, you'll see:
A list of changes displayed.
If a timesheet has been deleted, it shows Deleted in orange font.
If a timesheet has been updated, it shows Updated in orange font.
Check the history of an individual timesheet
Follow these steps to view the change history for a specific timesheet entry:
Click Client.
Click on the required client.
Click Timesheet.
Choose the required week using the back and forward arrows or the calendar.
Click the Edit icon to the left of the timesheet row you want to review.
Click the History button.
