Add a holiday scheme to a staff member

In this article, we explain how to add a holiday scheme to a staff member and how to create a break for them on a client roster.

A staff member needs a holiday scheme before you can add or book a holiday or break on their roster. If you see a message saying there is no scheme set, you can fix it by adding one. Once the scheme is in place, you can then create a break on the roster as needed.

To add a holiday scheme to a staff member, follow these steps:

  1. Click Staff.

  2. Click on the staff member.

  3. Click Absence.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Click Description, then choose the appropriate the holiday scheme from the drop‑down list.

  6. Enter the Date From and Date To.

  7. To save, click the tick icon on the left.


Create a break on a client roster

📌 Note: Adding a break deletes any existing bookings. If the break is removed or shortened, the requirements will reappear on the roster and must be booked again.

To create a break on a client roster, follow these steps:

  1. Click Staff.

  2. Click on the staff member.

  3. Click Roster.

  4. Click New Break.

  5. Enter the date range in the Date From and Date To boxes.

  6. Click Break Type, and choose the applicable option from the drop-down list.

  7. Click All Day or enter times in the Time From and Time To boxes.

  8. Add a note if needed.

  9. Click Save.
