7.1.3 Release notes

Release notes for version 7.1.3.

Written by Emma Ianson

We’re pleased to announce the 7.1.3 release of Access Webroster, bringing you the following features and fixes.

Features

  • Holiday pay – pay periods.

  • National Minimum Wage (NMW) changes for April 2024.

Fixes

  • Added Captain to the person title table so all screen requiring a title show Captain.

Holiday entitlement changes

In line with the changes to irregular hours workers and part-year workers: entitlement to annual leave, we now show the total entitlement based on Verified for Payroll timesheets only.

Currently, we base the holiday entitlement on any timesheet linked to that staff member, verified or unverified. With the new proposals coming into force on 1 April 2024, we change the entitlement. So if the holiday period starts before 1 April 2024, the holiday calculation stays, as any timesheet earns entitlement, but for all timesheets after that date, the trigger only uses verified timesheets.

In addition, if the holiday period on or after 1 April 2024 when a staff member is on an hours entitlement holiday scheme, where the amount of annual leave accrued in a particular case includes a fraction of an hour, the fraction is to be treated as 0 if it’s less than 30 minutes and 1 hour where it’s 30 minutes or more.

For example:

  • A fraction of 0.20 hours, which is 12 minutes, rounds down to 0 hours.

  • A fraction of 0.50 hours, which is 30 minutes, rounds up to 1 hours.

National Minimum Wage changes for April 2024

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) report calculates the correct NMW legislative amount to pay per hour based upon the date of the timesheet.

These rates are for the National Living Wage for those aged 23 and over, and National Minimum Wage for those of at least school leaving age. The rates change on 1 April every year.
